College Graduation

Made these for college grads from IU (titled Hoosier girl) and Purdue  (titled Boiler Up) based on Aneela Hoey's tutorial girl on a tree swing mini quilt tutorial!!!.  Incorporated some of their dad's old shirts into the design.  I am so proud of both of them.  One an engineer off to a job.  One a biologist off to grad school at Wisconsin.  Great going ladies.

I was able to use my embroidery machine to personalize each mini quilt. They both love music and were in the marching band during college. Yeah!

  1. Hello! I love these! Really beautiful and great way to add something from old shirts! Congratulations to your girls!
Thank you for your lovely comment! When I get back to my 'normal' program, I would be very happy to make a small tutorial, how I made animals for Nero's quilt.
    Have a lovely time!
